PLANTING:
If we decide that the planting is not performing as you had hoped we
look at specific options. For example, the answer could be tree work
such as raising or thinning the canopy to give a better shape and let
in more light. Mature shrubs might still have a valuable role to play
and by pruning to rejuvenate them they would flower better and rebalance
the composition. New planting might be the answer to achieve better
year round colour and more exciting combinations. You could try out
more adventurous plants with the confidence of knowing their requirements
have been met. If the garden has become too demanding we can look at
reducing the amount or even the type of planting without losing the
balance in the garden. We discuss a budget for the work and I can organise
all the work we agreed to be carried out. As part of the package I would
normally expect to make a follow up visit one month after planting is
complete to check that the plants have established well. The cost of
this is included in the overall cost of planting.
