The lawn has been replaced with a combination of circular
paving, railway sleepers and gravel.
The client wanted a low maintenance garden but didn't want that to mean it
was boring. The paving creates interesting patterns by contrasting circles
with lines and the gravel provides another texture. The plants also create
all year round interest as they are evergreens, carefully chosen for their
textural quality or bold shape.
